Kitchen splashback repair and installation is the templating, fabrication and fitting of back-painted toughened glass behind cooktops and benches. Panther Glass templates on-site, fabricates at our Jamisontown workshop and installs the finished panel, typically the whole sequence takes one to two weeks.

FAQ
Splashback questions
How long does a kitchen splashback take?
Usually 1 to 2 days from measure-up to install. We measure on day one, glass is cut and toughened in our workshop, then installed.
Can you match any colour?
Yes. Bring us a paint sample, a Dulux code, or pick from our range. The colour is painted onto the back of the glass before toughening.
Do you handle the power point cutouts?
Yes. We measure existing cutouts and cut the glass to suit.
What if my old splashback is tiles?
No problem. We remove and dispose of tiles, prep the wall surface, and install the new glass splashback over the existing substrate.

Frequently asked questions
How long from quote to install?
Usually one to two weeks from template to install. The template is the slowest part, we measure on-site, return to our Jamisontown workshop, cut and temper, then come back to install.
Can I change the colour?
Yes. Any colour from the Dulux range and most metallic finishes. We back-paint the toughened glass before installation so the finish is sealed against the kitchen.
Do you replace just one panel?
Yes. Single panels are common, usually a cracked corner near the stove. We template, fabricate and install just the affected piece without disturbing the rest.
What thickness do you use?
6 mm toughened for residential kitchens; 8 to 10 mm for commercial kitchens and any panel longer than 2.4 m. All toughened to AS/NZS 2208.
