Frameless shower screens are 10 mm toughened safety glass panels with stainless-steel hinges and brackets, installed without vertical aluminium framing. Panther Glass templates on-site, fabricates at our Jamisontown workshop and installs in a single visit, typically 90 minutes once the glass lands.

Templating is the slow part
Bathrooms are rarely truly square. Walls bow, tiles add a few millimetres of variation, hob heights shift. We always template on-site, usually a 20-minute first visit, before any glass is cut. That is why frameless installs take 1 to 2 weeks from quote to install, even though the install itself is quick.

- 10 mm toughened safety glass, AS/NZS 2208 Grade A
- Stainless steel hinges, marine grade where coastal corrosion is a risk
- Bottom water seal, replaceable PVC for door bottoms
- Side water seals, vertical “fin” seals on the hinge side

Frequently asked questions
How long does the install take?
Templating takes about 20 minutes, fabrication 7 to 10 working days, installation 90 minutes to 2 hours. From quote to handover is usually 1 to 2 weeks.
Can frameless screens leak?
A correctly templated and installed frameless screen does not leak under normal shower use. Bottom water seals replace every 5 to 7 years.
Do you replace just the door?
Yes, door-only replacements are common. We match the existing hinges and panel thickness.
What thickness do you use?
10 mm toughened for standard frameless work; 12 mm for very large single panels above 2.4 m tall.
