What AS 1926 requires
- Minimum height, 1.2 m above ground or 1.8 m above climbable objects within 900 mm of the fence.
- Gap below the fence, under 100 mm.
- Gap between panels, under 100 mm.
- Self-closing, self-latching gate, opens outward, latch at minimum 1.5 m above ground.
- No climbable objects within 900 mm of the fence on the outside.
- All glass, Grade A toughened safety glass to AS/NZS 2208.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need council approval?
Yes, almost always. NSW requires a barrier inspection certificate via your local council or a certified accredited certifier. We can recommend a local certifier and supply the paperwork.
Is frameless really worth the extra cost?
For sight-lines and resale, yes, frameless looks the part and adds property value. For pure compliance and budget, semi-frameless does the same job to the same standard.
How long does installation take?
A standard ~25 m frameless install takes 2 to 4 days from delivery to handover. Templating and panel manufacturing run 2 to 3 weeks before that.
What if the slab is uneven?
Frameless spigots have ±15 mm adjustment per panel. For more than that we use packers, or core-drill new fixing points into level concrete.
