Shopfront glass in Penrith typically costs $600 to $1,800 supplied and fitted per panel, depending on size, thickness, glass type and access. Toughened safety glass is standard; laminated runs about 15 to 25% more. Panther Glass quotes on-site or by photo, usually within the hour during business hours.
What drives the price
- Panel size, anything over 2.4 m needs two-person handling and a suction-lifter, adds labour.
- Glass type, toughened (~$80 to $160 per m²), laminated (~$120 to $220 per m²), low-iron “ultra-clear” runs 30 to 40% above standard toughened.
- Thickness, 6 mm vs 10 mm vs 12 mm. Shopfronts above 1.8 m wide typically need 10 mm minimum.
- Access, first-floor and tight laneway sites add 20 to 40%. Cherry-picker hire on tall facades is an extra line item.
- Time, after-hours and weekend installs add a flat $250 to $450 call-out fee.
- Insurance, invoiced direct to most insurers; we provide the photos, scope and quote in their template.

Frequently asked questions
Can you quote from photos?
Yes. Send clear photos of the damaged panel and the framing to sales@pantherglass.com.au with rough dimensions. We come back the same business day with an indicative price; a site measure confirms it.
Is toughened or laminated cheaper?
Toughened is the cheaper of the two safety-glass options, about 15 to 25% less than laminated of the same thickness. Laminated is worth the premium where security or containment matters.
How long does a replacement take?
A standard shopfront panel is on-site in 1 to 3 business days from confirmed measure, and the install itself takes 90 minutes to 4 hours. Out-of-hours scheduling is standard so you do not lose a trading day.
Do you do insurance jobs?
Yes. We document damage with date-stamped photos, quote on the insurer template and bill the insurer directly where the policy allows. You pay any excess only.
