Where it pays to use a glazier (not a handyman)
- Gym and studio walls, safety-backed mirrors so a broken pane stays intact rather than showering the floor.
- Cut to size around obstacles, power points, light switches, plumbing penetrations.
- Polished edges, exposed mirror edges in bathrooms and decorative installs need workshop edging.
- Heavy panels, anything over 1.5 m needs proper adhesive plus mechanical retention.
Installation method
Standard installs are bonded with mirror-grade neutral-cure silicone plus J-channel or mechanical clips at the bottom edge for safety retention. We do not use double-sided foam tape on anything bigger than a small vanity mirror.

Yes, we template power point locations on-site and cut precise rectangular notches in the workshop before delivery.

Neutral-cure mirror silicone across the full back, plus J-channel or mechanical retainers at the bottom edge. Tape alone is not used.
What is safety-backed mirror?
A standard silvered mirror with a vinyl backing applied to the silver side. When broken, fragments stay attached to the vinyl instead of falling, required for gyms, studios and schools.
